Description
Our green tea Maofeng is originate from Huangshan area (Also called as Yellow Mountain Maofeng), one of the top green tea sites in China. The tea farms are Rainforest Alliance Certified. The dense forests, mild climate, abundant rainfall and fertile soil here have created the ideal conditions for the growth of Huangshan Maofeng green tea.
This green tea specifically is made specially using a rolling/forming-squeezing process. The first step is rolling and forming to shape the tea leaves, resulting the shape of the produced dry tea is tightly knotted. The second step is squeezing, to break the tea leaf cells and squeeze out the tea juice. This makes the flavour stick closer to the surface of the tea leaves and increase the concentration in the later tea brewing. In this way, the dried tea leaves are more suitable for brewing and give a more mellow taste to the tea.
